so while i was in vegas, we found out that my mommy's friend died. & that lady, well.. she's just such a sweetheart. been fighting cancer for two years now and unfortunately lost the battle yesterday afternoon. ever since i can remember, whenever i came to her house she'd force me to eat something & make me feel right at home. the worst part is that her youngest kid is only 10. soo we came home from vegas & rushed over to visit her family. poor husband's running around trying to get everything sorted out. even though i knew she was sick and everything, it just doesn't really sounds realistic, ya know? i just saw her like three weeks ago and she was just fine. really gets me thinking about the future & how lucky i am... as stupid as that may sound.
everything else this weekend, however, was good. packed my things last minute & hit the road to vegas. i love shopping, in case you didn't know. & i love sales even more. finally got some grey boots, the belt i wanted, & a super cute owl necklace. oh, & some black flats to replace my worn out ones. can't get over how cheap everything was. outlets are the absolutely best. airsupply concert was actually pretty good for ya know... ancient men trying to relive the happy days. stupid ladies in front of us were like swinging pendulums. they kept swaying their heads back in forth even though they had the biggest hairdos, EVER. the kind you'd see in like i love lucy days. pissed me off so much i started kicking their chairs like a maniac. & if that wasn't bad enough, the idiots just haaad to stand up during the ONLY two songs i knew & started doing this funky twist only old people can manage to do that's also like a funky swaying thing. & they brought along this old BALDING man. i have nothing against people with hair issues, BUUT his head had the same effect as a mirror. when those lights started flashing... his head started blinding me. my dad got so pissed he leaned over right next to their ears and did that super cool loud whistle things where you stick your pinkies in your mouth. their reactions were absolutely hilarious, every single time... almost made up for their annoying selves. (:
